Yeah. Yeah they have.
Tuesday July 26th, 2005: Warped Tour
Hurrah! The warped tour experience gets a B.
Good points:
Music: The three bands that I remember the most from seeing, etc. are MXPX, Dropkick Murphys, and Offspring. There were a couple others I might've wanted to see, but circumstances prevented it. But it was a good time.
Mosh Pits: Since I was with Ed and not Steve, I could go into a pit if I wanted. Generally, as most people in there are bigger than I am I only stay on the outside, but the one or two times I went through 'em were interesting.
Crowd Surfing: The nice thing about being lighter is that crowd surfing is easier. It was pretty cool. Pity there was only time to do it once.
Bad Points:
Audrey Passing Out: Yeah. That sucked. See, when Offspring was going to start soon, we went and sat down near them so as to get hydrated and stuff. Well, Audrey clearly was not hydrated. Despite my warning her it was a bad idea and offering to get water, she ran into the crowd anyways. I took off after her, Ed took off after me, and Sean sort of wandered off a bit. I almost lost her when she decided (while dehydrated) to jump into a mosh pit, but by the end of the set, I was standing behind her, and was there to catch her when she passed out. Ed grabbed her other side, and the two of us hauled her out of there, with me in front elbowing people out of the way while assuring Audrey that at that moment flying was a bad idea.
Sean and I went to get water, and we lost Ed, who was carrying a now completly passed out Audrey. I left Sean in our meeting place, and went from there to look for the medical tent that by all rights should have been up by the main stages (you know, where most injuries are going to happen). Oh. Wait. There wasn't one there. The medical area was by the enterence, on the complete other side of the concert area. So that's another bad point. Well, I found Sean, and he told me Ed took Audrey to the VIP tent. OK. So we went looking for it.
NO ONE knew that there was a VIP tent up top. They knew about the one on the bottom, (the one where they were NOT at) but not on top.
So that's bad point number three. Horrible staffing. Bad point number four is bottled water prices. $3.00/bottle is rediculous, and me and Sean running around carrying $12.00 in water did nothing to help my temper.
Eventually I did calm down though, and was going to enjoy Thrice, but there was a massive storm, and that got killed. So after finding Audrey (who, strangely enough, decided that going into massive crowds around a stage was now a bad idea) we ended up stopping at my house where Sean and I got changed, and I gave Ed one of his shirts back, and the four of us went to Audreys and hung out there.
However, despite the bad stuff, it was overall a good experience. And my Drop Kick Murphy's shirt is awesome.
Wednesday July 27th and Thursday July 28th, 2005:
Hung out with Ed. Good times. :)
Friday July 29th, 2005:
Finally picked up Disgaea for Ed. I was supposed to go with Emily, but messed up crap happened and I didn't end up being able to pick her up. Took Teresa instead. Teresa has decided she's moving in with us. So we're clearing out the upstairs bedroom where the computer is for her. Hurrah for her, and hurrah for me who will now be getting some more room. I like room.
Saturday July 30th, 2005: Block Party
The Block Party was alright. They brought in a fireman who Teresa had a thing for, Ed and I got movie passes to that theater over by us, and Ed and Tom split $12.00 because they won a horseshoe tourny. I threw the best two games of horse shoes ever. EVER. I finished off a game with a double ringer. :D
Saturday night I crashed at Lacey's, so as to be there for events occuring the next day.
Sunday July 31st, 2005: Rennaisance Festival
Awesome. It gets a B+, only because the ride was way the frig longer than I remembered it. Lacey and I dressed up like Ladies, and Emily and Natalie dressed up as wenches. Ed was there as my man wench, even if he didn't dress the part. We got our hair braided, (well, Ed and Natalie didn't) and Ed and I saw the human chess match (Lacey, Emily, and Natalie went to see the perfume lady, and came back and caught the end of it.) and afterwords we saw the joust. The full contact, full armor joust. Our knights were the cuter ones, but the opposing knights had cooler colors and symbols. Ours won.
After that, Ed and I stopped off at the Bad Dog Tavern for food, and we discovered it wasn't nearly as cool as we thought it would be. So we ended up grabbing our food (which was excellent) and our water (which was only $1.50/bottle) and went to the falconry show, which was also pretty cool. There we remet up with Lacey, Emily, and Natalie, and the group of us went to the book shop so I could pick up my quill, ink, and ink pot set. (Emily grabbed one as well) Also, Emily and I at various times picked up a mug and a goblet respectively. And we got flowers. :) On the way home, Ed was very tired, so I offered to drive. First he said no, than the blood rushed to his head and things weren't looking right, so he changed his mind. So I drove for a long distance for the first time ever. w00t.
Monday, August 1st: Mine and Ed's one year anniversery
Absolutely amazing. We went to eat at Don Pablos, we were going to walk around UB except we got rained out. He got me the first two manga from X-1999, and like I said earlier I got him Disgaea. It wasn't anything particularly fancy (though this morning, I checked my email to find one of the sweetest things I'd ever read sitting in my email box for me.) but it was great because we were together, and we had a great time. It was a grand time, and I'd be sorry it's over if I wasn't looking forward to the next one. :)

Work was absolutely lovely. I'm off now, and I've got girls night. Much laters guys.

Your anti-flying position has been made known to me for some time now.
This means WAR.
In other news, I have as much fear directed at this war as I have directed at your wrath.
There will be war whether you fear it or not.
It's a victory.
I win.
It's a victory.
I win.
